The New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame Inc. instills in young and old a pride and recognition in the accomplishments in sport in the province, and provides a continuity in linking our past with current and future events. Through recognition of athletes and builders, public display of their achievements and preservation of sport heritage, we celebrate those who contribute to sport in New Brunswick.

Mission

The New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame Inc. recognizes and honours achievement in competitive sport and its development. With honour comes distinction and a rich legacy for the youth of the future. Such achievement and legacy are kept alive for inductees, the sport community and generations of New Brunswickers through celebration, public exhibition and preservation of our sport heritage.


Hours of Operation

New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame museum hours:

Summer (June, July, August) | Tuesday to Friday: noon to 5 p.m. Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Fall, Winter & Spring | By appointment only.

New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame office hours:

Year-round | Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Location

The New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame Inc. is housed in the John Thurston Clark Memorial Building, 503 Queen Street, Fredericton, in an area known as the Historic Garrison District. The District was declared a National Historic Site in 1965. Constructed in 1881 as Fredericton’s Post Office and Customs House, the Clark Building later served as the Public Library, and then as the National Exhibition Centre. Since 1996, the Sports Hall of Fame has occupied the entire building.

To find the Sports Hall of Fame, follow the directions to “Fredericton City Center”. The Clark Building is located on the corner of Queen and Carleton Streets, in the heart of the city. It is just one block from City Hall and on the self-guided walking tour of downtown Fredericton.

$2.00 for kids, $3.00 for adults, $8.00 for families
